Story, FIRST SAUNA: 

Young sauna builders

This is the one and only first transportable sauna build by “bestminisauna crew” in 2006. Sauna is in Tornio, Finnish Lapland and the heat ”Löyly” is getting better after years. 

Do you know the story? How great ideas are born?

Summer 2006 in Finnish Lapland we were less than 10 triathletes (swim-bike-run). I think local people thought we were crazy. Nearest competitions was 400km from our home. Long distances was not the biggest problem for us. It was swimming sessions in freezing cold water of Tornio river.

Our open water swimming period was only two months, so we decided to get couple months more and we built sauna. Problem was how to get it near by the river. We did not have driving license for car, but we were able to drive tractor. In two weeks dreams came true and the Sauna was behind tractor besides the river..

Builders 2006: Samuli 16, Petri 17 and Panu 15 years old.
